CAN I DESIGNATE MY DONATION TO THAT GREAT LWR PROJECT?
Ten ways to answer this most commonly asked question.

Fran Troxler, Manager for Mission Advancement

LWR has earned many accolades from third party groups for its effectiveness and efficiency in its overseas programs. For example LWR has earned an "A" from the Charity Watchdog Group -The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), an independent nonprofit charity watchdog and information service recently gave LWR its A rating for maximizing the effectiveness of every dollar contributed. (Click here to visit the AIP website and learn more about the ratings.) On average 6-7 percent of LWR's total budget goes to administrative costs. And yet, this standard of efficiency and effectiveness is directly challenged by the ever increasing demand to "designate" funds to a particular project, project, or country. In this class we will discuss how LWR has met this challenge to meet donor expectations to designate, while also honoring the integrity of LWR's accompaniment model and low administrative cost. In end, we'll all be able to answer the question asked in the course title with ease! Questions for Fran and other discussion are invited now at the web forum, www.lwr.org/forum.
