GLOBAL DAYS FOR DARFUR:
TIME IS RUNNING OUT

| Previous Alerts |

ACTION ALERT: 3/23/07

Dear friends,

Lutheran World Relief invites you to join individuals across the country and around the world in the upcoming Global Days for Darfur, from April 23rd to April 30th. Together we can call attention to the escalating violence and the continued failure of the international community to adequately respond to this crisis.

Through rallies, marches and vigils, we will highlight the theme that "time is running out" for the 4 million children, women and men who have been left completely reliant on international aid for survival.

Time has already run out for the 400,000 who have died. It threatens to for the 2.5 million who have been displaced from their homes by horrific violence.

Please support your fellow activists in speaking out for the people of Darfur by joining an event in your area. If there are currently no activities planned in your community, we hope you will consider starting your own event during this important week. For more information or to find an event in your area, visit savedarfur.org/page/content/globaldays.

THANK YOU for joining the thousands around the world who will stand up during this week to sound the call that time is running out! We thank you for your prayers and your continued work to educate your communities and legislators.

We hope that you will let friends and family know about this action!
