LWR SIgns NGO letter requesting the u.s. government's help in the darfur peace process

LWR, in collaboration with 30 other advocacy and humanitarian organizations, recently wrote a letter to president Bush and key members of his administration that addresses strong concerns about the current crisis in Sudan. This letter requests that the U.S. government help to reinvigorate the Darfur Peace Process, hold the Government of Sudan and the Government of South Sudan accountable for there promises made in signing the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement, organize a meeting with various international donors to ensure a fully resourced peacekeeping force in Darfur and allocate more funding to humanitarian and development needs through out Sudan.
