School students send their thanks for LWR school kits

"They wish you would come and visit Inner Mongolia. And they hope to extend you their sincere thanks in person," said Shao Ping Ping from Amity Foundation. Amity assisted with the distribution of clothing, quilts and school kits.

"The school kits are better and more beautiful than we have imagined. They are just to the taste of children of primary schools."

Along with Amity Foundation's "end-user report" to LWR, a thank you note, handwritten in Chinese, was included:

Dear aunts and uncles from abroad,

I am a 10-year-old boy named Bao Xin. I, on behalf of all my schoolmates and our parents, would like to write to you to thank you for your kind help and caring love.

We live in remote pastoral area. Life is hard here. The droughts and snowstorms in the past three years have made life harder for us. Our parents could not even afford to pay for our books. Under these circumstances, we dare not dream of other luxuries. Just at this time of hardship, you come all the way to help us. You send us each school kits. In our life, we have never seen such beautiful, delicate and easy-to-use school kits. We assure you that we shall live up to your expectations. We shall study hard and make ourselves contributive to the mankind in the future.

With these school kits in hand, we are deeply touched. We could feel the care of the caring elders and the love of the loving mothers. Here, I would like again to say to you on behalf of all my schoolmates and myself:

THANK YOU, DEAR CARING ELDERS AND LOVING MOTHERS

Dear friends, we hope someday in the future you would come and visit our hometowns. You will see they are vast, spacious and green in spring though they are not rich and rather isolated momentarily.

Many thanks again and best wishes!

Yours truly,
Bao Xin
