FAIR TRADE HANDCRAFT PROJECT
Put your faith into action by hosting an LWR Fair Trade Fair in your congregation or community with fairly traded handcrafts from around the world. Every sale benefits the artisans who create these products — and your congregation and community members get high-quality, beautiful crafts.
Follow these simple steps to host a successful LWR Fair Trade Fair:
STEP 1: Choose a Date and Location for your LWR Fair Trade Fair.
Start planning early!
Ask friends, family, an organization or a youth group to participate. Consider planning your event with another community or organization event to draw a larger crowd.
STEP 2: Choose Products to Order
- Preselected Packages: Order a package of new and popular handcrafts chosen by our staff. We have a Spring season package in the amount of $750, but you can contact us if you need a larger one for your sale. You receive 10% off the retail value of items and you can return what does not sell.
- Self-Select: Choose your own combination of handcrafts from the LWR Handcraft Project catalog and online. Please note that some handcrafts are unavailable for consignment due to size or fragility. You also can add food items to your order, but these items may not be returned (see page 4 of the Step by Step Guide for a complete list of non-returnable items). Order $300 or more to receive free shipping!
Increase your impact!
Consider taking orders from people before your Fair and adding those items to your order OR take orders during your Fair and place another order for those items. STEP 3: Submit Your Forms and Order
Complete the Sales Agreement and Congregation Account forms and submit them to our Customer Service Department.
Once your forms are submitted, you can submit your order anytime. Please order four weeks before your sale.
STEP 4: Promote Your LWR Fair Trade Fair
Promotion is key to a successful Fair. Order promotional materials with your Fair and use the Promotional Tips for great way to get the word out. You can also order materials by calling 1.800.LWR.LWR.2.
STEP 5: Set up and host your LWR Fair Trade Fair
After you receive your handcrafts, check to make sure your order was complete. If there are any discrepancies, fill out an Adjustment Form.
Unwrap one of each item you ordered to make for an attractive display. At the Fair, have your customers make checks payable to you or your congregation.
Share the story of Fair Trade! Print out the Catalog Request Form for people to sign-up to receive the LWR Handcraft Project catalog. Display Artisan Stories among the products. Make LWR information available for people to take.
STEP 6: Wrap up
Take inventory of what you have sold and prepare your Return Form. Submit one check made payable to “SERRV” within ten days of your final sale date.
STEP 7: Celebrate!
Your LWR Fair Trade Fair has made a difference in the lives of artisans and farmers around the world!

DON’T STOP WITH HANDCRAFTS! Your LWR Fair Trade Fair can also include Divine Chocolate and Fair Trade coffee, tea and hot cocoa mix!
- Order Divine Chocolate with your LWR Fair Trade Fair or by itself. Food items may not be returned. With ten different flavors and a variety of unique specialty items, Divine Chocolate is sure to be a hit at any event!
- Order Fair Trade Coffee through the LWR Coffee Project. Items from the LWR Coffee Project must be ordered separately from your LWR Fair Trade Fair.
