Where Quilts Go

Hotel Iveria, Tbilisi, Georgia

 

A symbol of the unresolved crisis in the Caucasus, this Soviet-era hotel has become a vertical refugee camp in the heart of the elegant capital city of Georgia: Tbilisi. Some 1.2 million people in the region are still refugees or displaced as a result of conflicts that broke out ten years ago during the collapse of the Soviet Union.
