COLOMBIA ADVOCACY RESOURCES

Colombia Education Packet - A four-part guide for groups.

This guide is intended for use in small- to medium-sized groups and includes materials for spiritual reflection, learning, and discussion.

Session 1 provides an overview of Colombia and the U.S. aid package called Plan Colombia.

Session 2 looks at the effects of the drug war in Colombia - particularly internally displaced persons, child soldiers, and human rights violations.

Session 3 is a continued discussion of the effects of the drug war in Colombia, and also its effects here in the United States.

Session 4 describes what you can do to help our sisters and brothers in Colombia through advocacy here at home.

Each packet comes with a leader's guide, a participant's guide, and a series of supplemental materials for each session. Materials can be downloaded from this site as PDFs by clicking the links below:

Or, if you prefer, LWR can mail you a copy of the packet. Please order 1 or 2 copies and then duplicate the materials to accomodate the size of your group.

Packets are free of charge and can be obtained by contacting Mary Duvall, mduvall@lwr.org or 612-844-4191.
